Business, Life and Business Life. Real Talk.

Canyoning in Interlaken

Eugene Farber is …don’t you hate it when people talk about themselves in third person?

A little about me…

Hi, I’m Eugene. I write here on Reality Burst.

I am an accountant used to be an accountant for a pretty large company. Then I decided to do something crazy and quit.

I love traveling and experiencing new things. That picture to the left is me canyoning in Interlaken, Switzerland (absolutely exhilarating!).

I love sports – in particular basketball and soccer (futbol!).

I love experiencing new things – currently trying to see if I can make it living in NYC (a bit overwhelming at first…).

And I love the internet and all the riches it has to offer!

But enough about me…

You probably want to know how you can benefit by sticking around and seeing what I have to say (well then skip to the next section :)). But first…

What is this Reality Burst thing? And why is it “Reality Burst” anyway?

Reality Burst is actually the re-branding of a blog I started a while ago at I started Blogging Revenue with hopes of making money by blogging. I thought it was going to be easy, that it was going to be my ticket out of a job I wasn’t very happy with. Well…it wasn’t.

I decided that “blogging revenue” was too limiting and that I wanted to re-brand. Thus “Reality Burst” was born. I was going to take a more lifestyle-based approach. It was going to become a blog about creating your own reality in a world that tries to impose its own on you.

And to some extent that is still what this is.

But really, the majority of the stuff you will see on here is business/blogging/social media related. Partly because I love it and partly because I still do believe that starting an internet business is the best way to create your own reality. And that blogging is a big part of it.

How you can benefit…

On this blog I  share my thoughts and insights about a wide range of topics (i.e. SEO, blogging, internet marketing, social media, etc.).

Any time I discover something I think is useful, I’ll share it with you (for example how to measure social media ROI, how to get more opt-in list subscribers or how to increase  your Klout score).

I am definitely not a “guru”. I find that word annoying (especially in the online realm). Anytime I see someone proclaim themselves a “guru” I tend to run the other way – and you should to.

But I do know [more than] a few things. Enough to be dangerous, enough to make some money doing this thing, and enough to help you make some money as well.

And, just so you know that I will stay motivated to help you grow your business… the more I help you, the more I grow my business, the less likely it is that I have to go back to accounting (which I REALLY don’t want to do) :).
